Sofia started her musical studies with piano lessons at the age of 5. While studying piano at the Gliere Music Institute in Kyiv, Ukraine, she also took organ lessons with Prof. Olga Dmytrenko. A fascination with organ and early music led her to Hamburg, where she pursued her Organ bachelor’s degree in the class of Wolfgang Zerer, while simultaneously studying Church music, and then completed her master’s degree in Harpsichord in the class of Menno van Delft at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater. Winner of international competitions, Sofia is active as an organist, harpsichordist and pianist. She has performed so far in Italy, United Kingdom, France, Poland, Switzerland and Austria, and throughout Germany and Ukraine where she has also performed as a soloist with the symphony orchestras. In 2022 and 2023, Sofia worked as an organist and a choir leader in the Kirchengemeinde Eimsbüttel and in Matin Luther Kirche/ St. Peter Groß Borstel respectively.
Sofia has participated in master classes in many European countries with renowned musicians, among them Francesco Corti, Bertrand Cuiller, Christophe Rousset, Jean Rondeau, Pierre Hantaï, Skip Sempe, Theo Jellema and Sietze de Vries.
